At Blesberg Farm Cottages we would love all our guests to fully enjoy their stay on the farm. We are unfortunately in the battle against the terrible Animal Foot & Mouth Virus, luckily, by the Grace of God we do not have any confirmed cases on Blesberg. Please do keep the following in mind when deciding to book your accommodation.
- Due to the localised outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease in areas of South Africa, we have had to put in place a few measures to keep our animals safe and healthy.
- Foot and Mouth in animals is NOT the same as the human virus. It is transferrable through close proximity, touch, and water. It effects animal with Cloven Hoof, e.g.… cows, sheep, pigs, goats….
- Humans CANNOT catch Animal Foot and Mouth
- We ask that you please take care when on the farm, if you are coming from an agricultural area, please take extra precaution by washing your vehicles before you arrive.
- There are Biohazard stations before entering the farm, please follow all instructions by the attendant at the gate, failure to do so we will be forced to forfeit your stay.
- There will be hand sanitisers in the cottages, please use it before touching any of the petting farm animals.
- We stress that the farm DOES NOT currently have any cases of Foot and Mouth, but these are just precautions we are putting into place to help ward of any contamination.
