At Blesberg Farm Cottages we would love all our guests to fully enjoy their stay on the farm. So, for the experience to be fully appreciated we ask our guests to follow a few basic rules set out below.

  • Shoes must be removed when entering the carpeted areas of the house, Sleeping area and lounge especially. Cream carpets and mud do not blend well. (The Manor House)
  • No climbing in and out of the sash windows (yes this happens!) Doors are there for a reason.
  • The Manor House is a grand old lady, please resect its limitations, if a window is stuck do not force it, rather leave it, as it will break if forced.
  • No food or drinks in the sleeping areas, spills are very difficult to get out of the carpets and bedding.
  • If you bring your pups with you, please take caution around our larger animals and the petting animals.
  • DO NOT help yourself to any of the plants, shrubs or trees in the gardens, farm or forest area…. YES, this happens! Rather support our local plant nurseries for your green finger fix.
  • Absolutely no loading your vehicle up with the chopped firewood to take home. If you would like to buy from the farm this can be arranged.
  • You are more than welcome to help yourselves to some of the lemons and herbs etc in the garden for your evening drinks or meals…. but please do not pick everything off the tree and take it home!! We are not a supermarket.
  • Firearms – any firearms brought onto the property need to be declared when booking and must only be used for protection. We do not have a registered range so do not offer any “target shooting”.
  • Do not move items between cottages, this complicates housekeeping trying to find all the correct items for each cottage once you have gone. If you need something extra rather ask housekeeping to help.
  • Please do not travers across the planted pastures and grazing fields, use the roads and pathways provided.
  • Please respect the animals on the farm, the petting animals are not to be taken home! YES, this happens….
  • The Dairy is strictly out of bounds; this is for health and safety for the animals and yourselves. Our milk is contracted out and we have guidelines we have to adhere to.
  • You may request more milk for your stay from housekeeping, but we are not allowed to sell the milk.
